source: Why the U.S.A. Is Collapsing: The Coming Economic Crisis

Let’s be frank here, the current mainstream “News” (if you could even call it that) is pretty much a joke. It’s to the point that even a non-journalist like me could whip up something superior. Personally, I stopped watching television news as an adolescent. It’s been almost 15 years now and I haven’t looked back even once, in fact, it’s only gotten worse. It’s probably why my news reaction category is pretty small honestly. There’s barely anything trending that I can actually take seriously these days.

The only worthwhile news these days comes from independent and unaffiliated individuals I think. I’m specifically speaking about the ones who simply speak their minds freely without any real reservations. One such individual goes by the name of “MoonReal” on YouTube and this post is a reaction to one of his latest videos.

Intro

I unfortunately don’t really have what it takes to be a journalist. Independently investigating situations and events is quite the tedious process. After all, there’s a lot of research that needs to happen before anything relatively conclusive can finally be reached. As a result, I more prefer to simply react to news that’s worth reacting to. The problem is, what even is worth reacting to nowadays?

And I’ll tell you right now, there really isn’t that much these days. At least it seems that way to me honestly. Maybe I should try reviewing interesting documentaries, I think that could work so long as the content is interesting enough. But hey, let’s get to reviewing this video.

The Review

When it comes to revealing his research, Moon is able to do so in quite an entertaining way. In regards to the video, “Why the U.S.A. Is Collapsing: The Coming Economic Crisis” he takes a look into the United States’ economic situation. He accurately explains how, since the 2008 recession, the US had been in a slow, steady, and sure decline downwards.

Fact of the matter is, it’s true. If we compare the United States nowadays to the United States 20 years ago, all that we can say is, “what happened?” This isn’t a case of just having nostalgia goggles and saying that the past is subjectively better because of a few aspects. This is the case of using objective metrics and realizing, “wow, we really shot ourselves in the foot ere.”

Political divisions, socioeconomic divisions, income inequality, cost-of-living, housing & renting prices… The list just keeps going on and on and on. All of these metrics are pretty much way worse off now than back then. The rate of inflation is still way too high to be healthy, and too many “articles & experts” are talking about the incoming recession. Honestly though, I don’t think anyone really needs an expert to tell them that we’re most likely heading into some pretty difficult times that’ll make the 2008 recession look like sunshine and rainbows in comparison.

Overall though, I’ve gotta hand it to Moon, he’s made a great case and explains everything in a much more precise and entertaining fashion.

Outro

Well, I’ll keep this outro short since there’s really not much more to say here. I highly recommend that you watch the video if you haven’t already. In any case that’s all that I have to say, until next time!
