Intro

It’s Thanksgiving! A day where we all get together with family and friends and enjoy good food. Furthermore, gratitude is a value that is top of the list when it comes to this holiday. In any case, I genuinely do hope that each and every one of you reading this a great Thanksgiving.

As for me, I’m simply waiting for a dining facility to open before I go over and enjoy a decent, well-earned, meal. It feels as if I’ve never really had a break from working on this passion project of mine. So I’m enjoying a rare moment of reflection on everything I’ve accomplished thus far.

I know that just the other day I was complaining about not really having a niche. I look at all of these other websites and see that they all have a focus and direction to improve in. And then there’s my website which is simply there.

Part I

I wanted my website to have more utility asides from merely connecting humanity across the globe. Sure there’s plenty of other platforms that do that, but at least I don’t sell user data. As a result I’ll need alternative streams of income for website costs, maintenance, and operation.

But I’m going off-tangent, the point is I felt that my website needed more things tacked on. For pretty much all of yesterday I went searching for answers to my dilemma. Out of many queries, a few definitely stood out to me. The most important part is, however, in my own personal development during the process.

I realized that I didn’t really need to tack more things onto my website for it to be great. Instead, it’s that I want to tack more things onto my website. I had felt that my website wasn’t really up to par but nothing is further from the truth. It is good as it is now, and it will still be good no matter how much I expand and optimize it.

Part II

Beyond Digitality does not need a niche when its focus has been on humanity all along. We have the niche of having no niche. As a good friend of mine is often fond of quoting:

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

Beyond Digitality will only continually improve in its being as time marches on. In its imperfection lies its infinite capacity for optimization. It will run faster, look sleeker, and serve better. To that end, I’ve ended up creating a new subdomain that is under construction. This subdomain will be an assortment of useful tools. I’m also feeling experimental in the sense that I’ll be handcrafting it rather than using WordPress for it.

Outro

That’s all that I have to say for now. In the meantime I’m trying to figure out how to make it so that ads do not show to subscribed users. If I ever do find a way to make that happen, I’ll definitely write a tutorial about it. I definitely need to create more tutorials & documentation.

That’s really all that I have to say for now. Please enjoy your Thanksgiving! Also, traffic is continually increasing over time, please do make sure to at least drop a hello over at our universal chatrooms. It would be great to see more interaction between us.
