Wow, as of now it’s officially 10:32 PM. I’m pretty sure I woke up around 5:30ish AM and have been working on the site the whole time.
I’ve gotta say that I’m pretty proud with my work so far. I’ve done quite a bit of debugging and decluttering of integrations, files, and plugins. Site is now functioning a lot better than it did in the past.
But the whole optimization is pretty much just the appetizer in comparison. I think most of my time went into learning how to integrate Buddypress. After fixing it up, I then revamped the whole site’s aesthetics and I’ve gotta say, it’s looking way better. The tedious part was in applying the new custom-made theme onto Buddypress, basically overwriting the majority of their CSS when it comes to color.
The thing is though, I’m nowhere close to being done, hence this is just a part 1. I’m only here to apologize again for being too distracted. Next part is integrating a buddypress chat and recreating a forum. That should be about it though, for the moment anyways.
